LOOKING FOR BOOK WITH PLOT LIKE MOVIE SHAPE OF WATER (2018)

Shape of water movie is one of a kind. But would it be possible to find book like that. I don't like alien &human( like sci fi settings), spider & human , kind of books( it's so funny). Thank you
