Hi, after rewatching True detective s1 and 3 and playing the roottree are dead i'm in a investigations crave.
So please sugest me any good book with investigations in it, be it detectives or the police investigating a crime or just people investigating a mistery, the whole talking with people, examining proofs, interrogating supects, looking for clues ecc.
My only requirement is that i don't want any "surprise magic" in them (like at the end it turn out that the killer could swap bodies to commit their murders while being in prison or that the protagonist goes to a medium and they actually have powers), i'm ok if it's clear from the beggining that magic is involved.
