Hello all! im thinking about starting a book club with my coworkers (all women). The thing is, we kinda all like different types of books. We are each going to suggest a book at the start of the month, less than 500 pages.
One coworker likes dark/gory books and romance??? not sure if together or what…
another coworker does not like smut (pretty religious but she isn't judgmental, just doesn't want to read a whole lot of sex scenes ((which doesn't interest me either))) but wouldn't mind a romance novel.
another coworker doesn't like fantasy books.
And I'm not into over flowery language with a meandering plot…. I prefer character driven novels .. Some of my favorite books are East of Eden, City of Thieves, Prayer for Owen Meany…
the rest of us three like all sorts of books from historical fiction to mystery thrillers, ect.
I guess I'm asking for a good fast paced and plot driven book that branches out to a wide audience?

Is this a work-sponsored book club, or just work-friends book club? I am going to assume the latter.
