tolkien vs herbert, who do you think is better?

I’ve been rereading The Lord of the Rings and also getting into Dune, and it got me thinking. Both Tolkien and Herbert built such massive worlds with their own rules, languages, and philosophies.

In your opinion, who is the better writer overall? Do you prefer Tolkien’s mythic style and deep lore, or Herbert’s political and philosophical depth in Dune?
