Hi I was wondering if anyone knew of some good books written with a similar style, and story to Desert Solitaire but within a different environment/location biome? Im looking for something from a region similar to Scottish or Icelandic highlands. Thanks!

Barry Lopez and Annie Dillard are both incandescent nature writers but I don’t know if they covered your requested locations. Lopez has Arctic Dreams, which may fit the bill.
