I need to read before I fall asleep to settle my mind. Something with low stakes, easy to put down, simple plots, free on Kindle unlimited. I’ve read all the books by E. M. Foner and the Dungeon Crawler Carl books.

    1. I used the Gene Wolfe ‘s books because are too hard for me and after 2 pages my mind was overwhelmed 😂

    2. I don’t know if it’s free on KU, but I like reading The Power Broker by Robert Caro before bed. The writing is good and it’s interesting, but it’s quite relaxing.

    3. How I Stole The Princess’s White Knight And Turned Him To Villiany by A.J Sherwood. Two arcs of short novellas, lots of fluff.

    4. I almost always read cozy mysteries before bed. They are light and repetitive, but have a hook enough for me to want to read the next night. Agatha Christie is a good start. Last year I went through all of Ellie Alexander’s works. The Cat Who is good. There are a million, let me know if you have specific interest within this genre and I can throw some things out (or r/cozymystery would be happy to help too.)

    5. Agatha Christie. They’re just interesting enough to stop your brain from hamster-wheeling, and give you something to think about as you drift off, and are very calming and yet also witty, clever, and entertaining.
