Please bear with the long and winding post.
Before the announcement of Nolan’s newest movie, I knew nothing about The Oddysey books or even the events of Trojan War. Most of the parts of Greek mythology I know is from playing God of War. Now having come back from the theaters after watching One Battle After Another in IMAX (great movie!), I’ve decided I want to watch Christopher Nolan’s next epic movie in IMAX as well, but read the books it’ll be based on first.
Now, I’ve done a few minutes of research and it seemed like Robert Fagle’s translation will be the best translation for me. A relatively easy read without losing a lot of details and poetic quality. Skipping past The Illiad, or maybe reading it after.
Would you agree? Thank you
