Hello, I've always been a huge fan of Fantasy/Sci-Fi and history, but haven't been able to find any historical fiction book that rly vibes with me. The ones I've picked up are either literary fiction, which I do not lov,e or go on page-long tangents about the most minuscule aspects of the setting (one went on for like 2 pages about how Greek theater was received amongst the upper classes of the Roman Republic) which is also something I'd rather avoid. I'm fine with info dumps if it's something significant either to the story or to history, just not when it's something so marginal.
Anyone know any books that I could like? Primarily looking for books set in the Early Modern period or Victorian era, but open to anything.
