Currently on vacation at the beach, and I didn’t think it really mattered if I had a beach themed read or not so I brought books that had a different setting. However, getting here, I really did wish that I had a book that had more of an ocean setting. I’ve read jaws, Meg, (which I wasn’t crazy about), and I’m just looking for something with a nice beach setting, well written, and nothing containing SA’s or unnecessary drama. I’m not a big fan of romance.

The Wave by Susan Casey – very cool journalistic story telling about waves, surf culture, and seafaring

Ahab’s Rolling Sea was interesting. It’s about the natural history from Moby Dick, nonfiction. I also really enjoyed Whalefall by Daniel Kraus
