Hi all! I run a small book club at my work. We are about to enter our busy season, so I was hoping you could suggest a few novellas or short stories for our next few discussions! Would love for them to be fall/winter settings but not a must!
We read a bunch of thriller/mysteries, historical fiction, contemporary, literary fiction.
We do not read many romance heavy books. No horror or sci fi. Some fantasy is okay but I don’t think they would enjoy heavy world building.
Ideally looking for a max of 250 pages, but preferably around 200 or so. Definitely not over 300.
Our last book was Circe by Madeline Miller!
Thank you for reading!

***Something Wicked This Way Comes***
**The Moon is Down** by Steinbeck.
I loved this book. It was interestingly written as anti-fascist propaganda during WWII. The undertones are clear but the wintery setting in small village in a Scandanavian town under occupation in the middle of winter is beautiful.
