I recently read Bill Bryson is book "One Summer: America, 1927."
Fantastic book, as is everything Bryson writes, and as the title suggests, it's basically just a "look at all the crazy shit that happened during this one summer in 1927!"
I enjoyed the concept (I'm a sucker for a good book gimmick) and it got me wondering if there are any other good non-fiction books that tackle things that way. I found a book simply called "1959" that I've added to my wish list. Any other thoughts?
