I want some (text)books to have in my library such that I can start reading, stop in the middle for some time (weeks/months), and then pick them back up from where I left off easily, and I want them in the following categories (read description please)

I curently have only 2 books (both about history): one is "Atrocities: The 100 Deadliest Episodes in Human History" by Matthew White, and the second is "A History of the Modern Middle East, 6th ED." by Cleveland and Bunton, i very much enjoyed the first book the writing style was very nice and everything felt very organized and easy to follow, as for the second book it's much more heavy but still an amazing read.

I want to have books in many disciplines. Currently, I can only think of history, physics, and math that interest me, but I know for certain many more things interest me, just nothing comes to mind right now.

1. I want one to be about modern history, the problem is that i cant decide on when that began – you can always go further back to get a clearer picture and you end up in anciant civilization, so i want a book that cover events as recent as let's say 2010+ (better the more recent it is), what i want from that book is to learn about many events in history that i don't know enough on, just for some example i don't know much about the war in the balkans, or about the korean or vietnamm war, or about many things in eastren asia, africa, and south america. I know full well that you can't have everything in a single book, but as much as possible will be nice.
2. I want one about physics, and it probably doesn't exist, but I want it to be comprehensive at the undergraduate level, meaning it'll be about classical mechanics and all that's usually related to that, electromagnetism and everything related, quantum mechanics and related, physics of materials, thermodynamics, and everything. I know such a book probably doesn't exist since usually each of these subjects gets its own book, if not multiple, but still.
3. About math, again, like in physics, I want everything, so a big book about many subjects that still goes into details and doesn't skip them will be good.
