Hi everyone! I’m currently 16 studying for my a-levels, my favourite subjects are biology and psychology and i hope to study them further at university ; i’m thinking a neuroscience course of some sort. I’m looking for book recommendations that are fun or a bit humorous, easy to understand for a 16-year-old (i only have a handful of knowledge so far), but still educational and give a good sense of what the fields are like. I also take an interest in philosophy and ethics if that helps! So far i have “Behave” by Robert Sapolsky. Thank you.

The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat, by Oliver Sacks
Check out Oliver Sacks’ books, like *The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat* or *An Anthropologist on Mars.*
Dueling Neurosurgeons is a great book that explains the history of how we’ve learned about neuroscience through stories. It’s so good! Maybe read a sample and see if you like it.
There’s also The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. There are some chapters that are really dry but you can skip around (in both books). Good luck!
The Idiot Brain by Dean Burtnett was written by a neuroscientist and is very entertaining
