Whether the character keeps their faith or not in the end doesn’t matter to me, but I’d like to read something where they do question or struggle with their religion.
Not necessary, but bonus points if it includes any of these elements:
– queer characters (but their struggle with faith isn’t related to homophobia)
– published within the last 5-10 years
– historical setting
