Who is the greatest character ever written in a book?

I love Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird.

His calm wisdom, sense of justice, and courage to stand firm even when it was unpopular always stuck with me. He felt more real than just a character, almost like a role model you carry with you.

I also love Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings.

A mix of wisdom, mystery, and strength that makes him unforgettable.
