I tend to lean towards historical fiction but have been enjoying some dystopia's recently although none rate as highly as my normal historical stuff.

The Art of A Lie by Laura Shepherd Robinson (have also read all her others and enjoyed them)
Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr
Sea of Tranquillity by Emily St. John Mandel (have also read all her others and enjoyed too)
Violeta by Isabelle Allende (read a few of her others and find them hit and miss – enjoyed the more recently published ones)
The Sirens by Emilia Hart (Weyward was a bit of a miss for me)
The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell (love all her other books too)
The Phoenix of Florence by Philip Kazan
The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo
