Greetings, humans. I am currently most of the way through Fahrenheit 451, and, while I can see why its considered a classic, it is a very heavy book to be listening to for my 1.5 hour daily round trip to and from college. Im looking for a book I can listen to that is much lighter, but that I can still feel like im learnimg something from. I dont have a preference between fiction or nonfiction, so feel free to let me know what some of your go to recommendations are! Bonus points if it is historical, or relates to history in some way.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Inventing the Renaissance by Ada Palmer
My favorite audiobook is Project Hail Mary. And since you’ll be listening while commuting alone you might enjoy it more because they are also alone. This and The Martian.
momo- Michael ende teaches you how to listen to people but its fiction
1 litre of tears- diary of a girl who died from neurodegenerative disease at the age of 25. they turned her diary into a book and its a real story with 22 million books sold world wide and a 5 star rating
It’s sort of hard to make recommendations for this because your only ask is “lighter” than F451. It would help if you told us what kinds of books you normally like.
That said, The Frozen River is not lighter but it is based on a true story, and I liked it on audio quite a bit.
