City of Glass by Paul Auster. Very weird but amazing book. After finishing, I thought, I am never going to be able to find a book like that again.

I’ll be gone in the dark. I understand that it ended that way because the author died before the golden state killer was caught, but it was just really emotionally draining. Still a phenomenal book but it definitely does not have any happy ending.

Going through it now, in fact.

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. That book depleted me in the best way possible.

Old Man and the Sea.
It wasn’t the story. It was the writing craft on display. The only other time I’ve truly felt this way about writing is stumbling into Claire Keegan.

My bff is currently reeling from *The Stand,* and I’m not surprised in the least!

Wheel of time series, it’s so long and the lore goes so deep it took me a good long while to get into anything else the first time I finished it
