Suggest me a book about the japanese culture of work.

I want to learn about why work is such a huge honor thing in Japan. I have a few Japanese friends. I lost my job about 3 months ago, and when I told them, they were horrified. They thought I was joking, because I guess you aren't supposed to really share that publicly if it happens to you? Something like that.

I'm fascinated by this, and have googled around but there is a LOT out there so I thought I'd ask here, where you never fail me!
