Been feeling like reading…I want smth that encourages thought and I can think about it for months after finishing it. I want it to maybe deal with religion and/or ethical/philosphical questions? Maybe something more existential? Anyone got any recs? Preferrably in first person. It can be any genre, realism, sci fi, romance, horror, fantasy, anything i just want it to stick with me for weeks to months after finishing it

I Who Have Never Known Men
I’d suggest The Sorrows of Satan by Maria Corelli. I wonder whether it’s pro religion or actually on the opposite the author ridicules religion and its ‘laws’ and ‘attitudes’

Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse
Read Leo Carew’s The Wolf.
