From now till Wednesday at midnight there are maybe 15 or so books that I have bought previously that are either $1.99 or $2.99 on Kindle-almost all are $1.99 and I gladly forked over $14.99-$9.99 for most of them. I just will throw out a quick list I curated while searching through stuff today-I can say from personal experience that these are good-great books and I’ll try to list my favorites in order:
Bull Mountain-Brian Panowich
Winter Counts-David Heska Wambli Weiden
Bearskin-James McLaughlin
Blood’s a Rover-James Elroy
A Small Town-Thomas Perry
Charcoal Joe-Walter Moseley
American Noir:Short Stories-James Cain
The Lola Quartet-Emily St.John Mandel
The Beast You Are:Stories-Paul Trembley
Cara Mori-Thomas Harris
The 3rd book from Child 44/The 5th book from Department Q./A recent Rebus-“Midnight in Blue”/Broiler by Eli Cantor/At least one of the Longmire books (I didn’t write it down because I already have them all)
I will only mention this because I like the Author’s other books (The Ice Harvest/Left Turn at Albuquerque) but “The Devil Raises His Own” by Scott Phillips is the only one that’s $4.99 and I just bought it so I can’t personally promise it’s good-same with the “Rebus” Ian Rankin book, I just trust friends taste that like him?
Maybe no one sees or gets any use out of this?I was searching for a couple hours I saw so many books I loved that I started keeping track even though I already own them. If you like really good crime books, at least think about dropping $2, especially on any of the first few I listed or the Cain collection? Hope someone finds a good read or series because of the post, thanks.
