Exciting, well-written thrillers

Looking for exciting, well-written thrillers. Would prefer it doesn’t have any SA’s and not really into anything dark.

I’ve tried Dark Matter, but I thought it was just ok. I was a little bored. I also tried The Devotion of Suspect X and I also thought this one was pretty slow.
