Hi all, Iām new here so forgive me if Iām doing this wrong!
I have somewhat specific tastes:
-
historical mysteries with a cozy feel. For example any of the Lady Emily series (by Tasha Alexander), Mary Kingswood, the Captain Lacey series or Below Stairs mysteries (Jennifer Ashley/Ashley Gardner). I particularly love regency period, but anything Edwardian or prior works! Some romance in there is nice but Iām not super into really spicy romances
-
slightly different to the above but Iāve been reliving my love of Sarah Dessen novels, and Iād love to find some author with the same vibe. Thereās something about her books that, even as an adult, just capture something, in a different way than other books in a similar genre, Iām not sure how to explain it!
If anyone can help me out Iād be appreciative! Iām in that stage post-book where I feel a bit mopey because the story is over š

The Perveen Mistry books by Sujata Massey are set in early 20th century India, if that appeals?
Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D James is a murder mystery in one of Jane Austenās works, which tickles your Regency bone
