So I am currently reading the Hobbit with my 7 year old son (it's my first time reading it too) and we're having a really good time. We usually read one (sometimes two) chapters a day and when his dad comes home for work he tells him what happened to kinda solidify what we read. It's really fun honestly and he's really into it and always comes home excited for the new chapter.
Now we're about 60% through the book and I'm starting to think about what we could read next. Doesn't anyone have any recommendations? It should be something I can enjoy too and it shouldn't contain any harmful stereotypes or stuff like that. It should be gripping for him, without being too much and overall ideally still be wholesome.
Just something fitting for that age that I can enjoy too. Any recommendations?
