My son is a very avid reader and wants to read more “mature” spooky/horror stories, especially since it’s Halloween time! I do not want him to read anything too graphic or sexual so I’m not sure where to look. He has read most goosebumps and all of the scary stories you tell in the dark.
Bonus points if it’s a graphic novel or if it’s on Kindle Unlimited!

The Three Investigators series by Robert Arthur should be perfect. The Mystery of the Green Ghost is nice scary one.
The Mystery of the Haunted Pond by Phyllis Whitney is another good one.
Mary Downing Hahn writes horror books for children. A lot of her books have been adapted as graphic novels lately.
