Looking to expand a little outside of the American writing realm. Was curious if anyone could suggest some French writers (with English translation). I like fiction, science fiction, horror, fantasy, and or non fiction essays.

Maybe Annie Ernaux? She has a couple memoirs, The Years and Getting Lost. Also won a Nobel in 2022.
