I'm just testing the water . I personally only buy something for my bookshelves if I know someday I will take it out and relive the experience , library in my country ( vietnam ) doesn't have a diverse variety of book , plus books are expensive here which lead to me always listen to the audiobook first before deciding if I truly want to read it again
what about you ?

Yes I do. But I hardly ever reread anything so it doesn’t really factor in for me
I don’t buy a lot of books lately though I’ve been able to get most of my books from my library
I think it really depends. I have a couple books that I won’t read again because they emotionally shredded me, and I don’t want to feel that again…but the book itself was important either in the subject matter or had a personal story behind it (someone I love gave it to me). I keep these books for sentimental reasons, or to loan out to folks I think could benefit from reading them.
Yes, it looks good on the shelf.
I never re-read. But still buy.
most books I don’t re-read
When I buy a book, I generally haven’t read it yet, so I have no idea if I will ever reread it.
