HI all, please could you recommend fiction books that are reliably based on history of Britain, especially the following periods:
The statute of Rhuddlan
The 100 years wars
The wars of Roses
The Civil War, Cavaliers/Roundheads
The Elisabethan period
Bloody Mary
I read Philippa Gregory's books on the wives of Henry VIII and that helped me enourmously to understand that period. I learn by getting immersed in everyday life detail and character development. Even better if the books are crime stories/whodunnits based in historical periods. Many thanks guys!!
