I’ve had a hard time getting into a book lately. All the books I’ve read with interesting topics have super poor writing quality to the point I don’t want to finish it. I want something that feels like an adventure.
A higher writing quality Hunger Games, Fourth Wing, ACOTAR, When the Moon Hatched, etc. type book. I’ve read all Sarah J. Mas’s books and the series above. I liked the Games Gods Play and the Book of Azriel. I don’t mind different types of fantasy or even if it’s real. I just want it to feel like an adventure.
I’m not really a fan of the Lord of the Rings series. Dune’s okay but I’m looking for something more upbeat. I don’t like reverse harems books and don’t really care if romance is there or not. A higher writing quality is important though. I’ve read Arcana Academy, and Silver Elite, but I find the writing quality really low and boring.
What’s y’all’s best recommendations for an adventure!?

Starhunt by Alysa Misfeldt is a fast-paced romantasy adventure, could be a great fit especially if you enjoyed your Sarah J reads.
Beyond the Golden Stair by Hannes Bok
Tress of the Emerald sea by Brandon Sanderson
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik!
I really enjoyed Railsea by China Mieville. It’s an adventure book with Mieville’s usual masterclass prose. Light YA, but I’m in my mid-30s and enjoyed it.
She by Rider Haggard
I am a big fan of Dungeon Crawler Carl
Relic – Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
