I am looking for a book about how the construction of roads influence society. For example like how in africa all of the trains were just made to export resources or how on long island through robert moses all of the highways were made bulldozed through black neighborhoods or something of that sort, I would love to learn more about societies have been influenced by construction

Not exactly what you’re looking for, but incorporates a lot of the elements: *Traffic: The Way We Drive the Way We Do*. It examines a lot more than the title implies, diving into why roads are the way they are, the cultural differences involved in the transportation systems of many different countries and regions. You can skip around chapter by chapter, they’re not necessarily dependent on the previous ones.
