I want a story set in a truly high fantasy magical work featuring a diverse cast of character each with specific and diverse skills and lineages (elves, dwarves, etc.) going on adventures across the land.
Put another way, a story about adventurers in middle earth who do not happen to be a part of the fellowship and not written by Tolkien.
I really just want that feeling of adventure for its own sake, or put another way, a group of heroes going on adventures purely for the love of the game.
