Actually books between 150 and 250 pages, that is to say books that can easily be read within a week of the meeting. I favour classics and well-known authors, but it would be great to discover some obscure delights, e.g. First written in a foreign language.

      – *Annie Bot* by Sierra Greer
      – *I Who Have Never Known Men* by Jacqueline Harpman
      – *The Employees* by Olga Ravn
      – *Ice* by Anna Kavan
      – *Piranesi* by Susanna Clarke
      – *Annihilation* by Jeff Vandermeer

Some of these are pretty weird and require deeper analysis to appreciate, so really depends the kind of vibe you’re going for whether they’ll be good fits.
