Hey all,
I'm new to the action/adventure genre and looking for recommendations. I really enjoy stories where Nazis are the villains and get what’s coming to them, whether that's through brute force, clever plotting, or both. Think Inglourious Basterds, Sisu, Overlord, Wolfenstein, etc. Normally not a violent person but I went to a bible school as a kid where the only video games on the computers were Wolfenstein, so there's something about the desolation of Nazis that tickles my fancy.
I’m also a fan of:
- Indiana Jones and the 2010s Tomb Raider games
- Treasure hunts, ancient ruins, and puzzles
- Agatha Christie-style mysteries (read all of them!)
- Classic rugged male leads and/or strong female protagonists
Extra context: I grew up around dig sites in the '90s (my mom was a paleontologist, now retired), so anything with vivid descriptions of dig sites, paleontology, archaeology, mystery, and danger is a bonus. I am an avid reader and do research so I do not mind a long read.
Would love a book or series that captures that same energy. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you’re okay with non-fiction but Shadow Divers and Pirate Hunters by Robert Kurson are both awesome adventure books!
