Reading Nabokov, especially something like Speak, Memory, ruins you for other books. The way he weaves time, memory, and loss with such precise, stunning prose is just unmatched.

What other authors or books explore memory and the past with that same level of linguistic beauty and deep, emotional resonance? I'm looking for that same feeling of sublime, heartbreaking clarity.

I haven’t even read anything by him but I came across this quote – “exquisite spring blossom of a -” and I can’t stop thinking about it.
