    Hello,

Are there books non-fiction or fiction, where the author or main character struggles to connect with others? Not just something that happened in happenstance, but a pervasive theme throughout the book where human connection simply seems outside their grasp. I'm looking for books that explain this feeling of no matter what you do, there is this wall between you and humanity. I would prefer real accounts from authors but if fictional stories can adequately describe that, I will read it.

    Thank you.
