Y'all did me good the last time I was here, so I'm back with another.
I'm looking for series with court intrigue and fights over who gets to rule. Think Dune, Game of Thrones, the Merry Gentry series from Laurell K Hamilton, or Netflix's Kingdom (I know it's a TV show, but I wanted another example). I'm cool with any genre. Thanks!

The inheritance trilogy by NK Jemisin
Ken follett’s kingsbridge triology (which now has 4 parts and a prologue) is about people trying to outsmart each other to get the power. In a similar fashion as game of thrones just much more realistic and less glamerous so I’m not sure if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s about all sorts of power, not really the throne. Usualy about power in the catholic church.
The Kushiel’s Legacy series, by Jacqueline Carey
The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. it’s a series and the court intrigue really starts in book 2 and 3. The first book might seem a bit slow when you start it but trust the process! The plot twists are rly good and the mc is very witty.
