I' was so amazed from GOT and specially to Jon snow. And sometimes I regret that I should had read the novels first. But now I'm really into high fantasy novels , I want to read and become a part of their lives. But whatever I choose it's has a female pratognist that i don't want . I want a male pratognist so that I can connect to him just like i got with jon snow. But I couldn't find any good novel like that. What I found was , mistborn series, amber in the ash and fourth wing . I don't want these love stories of a girl fell in love with grey characters. I want something like got , i know it's hard because GOT was only one of it's kind. But anything like that which the plot was sorrounded to make..

*Realm of the Elderlings* by Robin Hobb.

This is a long series that are made up of different trilogies all set in the same world.

The first set of trilogies *The Farseer* books are narrated by Fitz, who is the illegitimate son of royalty. He is a very compelling, tragic character. Flawed and frustrating sometimes for the reader but that’s what makes him interesting. He is not perfect and makes mistakes.

The second trilogy in the series *The Liveship Traders* follows a different set of characters and is told from multiple points of views both that feature men and women. Whilst it isn’t necessary to read it, I highly recommend you do as it’s considered to be the best books in the series.

The third trilogy *The Tawny Man* returns to Fitz and follows his story again.

The fourth trilogy *The Rain Wild Chronicles* returns to multiple new characters like *Liveship Traders*

The final trilogy *Fitz and the Fool* concludes Fitz’s story.

George R.R. Martin named Robin Hobb as one of his favourite fantasy authors. If you liked how Martin wrote Jon Snow, you will like how Hobb writes Fitz. I also feel Fitz feels more human and relatable. You will see why when you read the books.
