Hey everyone,
I’ve always had a hard time getting into reading, but I really want to change that. I’m hoping to find a book that actually grabs me, something that feels immersive or emotionally resonant enough to make me forget I’m “trying to read.”
Here’s a bit about what I like to give you an idea:
– Anime: Evangelion, Mob Psycho 100, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo
– Movies: Spirited Away, The Lighthouse, American Psycho, Midsommar, The Shining, Dune, Oldboy, The Florida Project, Call Me by Your Name, The Lobster
– Games: Hades, Nier Automata, Hollow Knight, Dark Souls, Metal Gear Solid
I tend to love stories that are a bit surreal, emotional, or philosophical things that explore humanity.
If you have a book that made you feel that same kind of spark please share it. I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance 🖤
I was using GPT to help me with this post, sorry if this looks a bit AI ish

I highly recommend the *Realm of the Elderlings* series by Robin Hobb. It’s a beautifully written fantasy saga consisting of 13 books, grouped into trilogies. Start with *Assassin’s Apprentice* (the Farseer Trilogy). If you enjoy it, continue with the Liveship Traders Trilogy. All the series are set in the same world, with overlapping characters and storylines that ultimately come together perfectly in the final trilogy.
I don’t want to hype it too much but this series has become my favorite.
