Sorry if this is getting too personal for this sub. When i was a kid, i read a lot. Mostly fantasy. Harry Potter and some other YA mostly. Later asoiaf.
Then around 14, i quit reading and just were a teenager for a while. I picked it back up at 20, reading Mistborn because i heard about it on youtube. I really liked it and read the rest of the trilogy, Emperor's soul, Stormlight archive (fell in love with the first 2 books), then read on and died in Rhythm of War, while my adult brain suddenly changed my mind about fantasy and in general, literature and art. I started reading different books.
My favourite authors now, a couple years later, are Vonnegut, Huxley, Le Guin, McCarthy, Melville, Morrison, Dostoevsky and Alejandro Zambra. I now have somewhat of a dislike of fantasy and the books i read when i was younger.

I think it’s pretty normal for reading tastes to change over time. Sometimes I look back on books I read only a few years ago and am not sure I’d pick them up today if I hadn’t already read them.
Outside my double lit degree, my pleasure reading is pretty close to yours! I’m just adding a bit more lit theory nowadays cause I always really gravitated towards it XD
