I’m waiting to hear back about some bad health news and need a book to pass the time- something witty or slightly funny and smart, that’s warm, with characters you fall in love with. A couple of books I’ve liked recently are Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, The Rosie project, and The ministry of time.
Thanks book fairies!!!!

I loved Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue. Hit similar feels as Eleanor Oliphant.
I also liked Britt Marie Was Here by Fredrik Backman
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
Any of Terry Pratchetts stuff. I recommend the Witch books.
Just in case you don’t already know, “The Rosie Project” has two sequels. They are “The Rosie Effect” and “The Rosie Result”. inevitably, they’re not quite as good as the original, but I still enjoyed them—especially Book 3.
I hope your medical tests will give you the results you hope for.
Oona Out of Order, by Margarita Montimore
I’m Starting to Worry About this Black Box of Doom, by Jason Pargin
The Plumber’s Mate Mysteries (6 book series), by J.L. Merrow
We Solve Murders by Richard Osman is a funny mystery novel.
“you are here” witty characters, cute, budding romance but awkward and funny, characters are walking across the countryside together
