Werewolf books with no alpha male bs

I absolutely love werewolves but I absolutely hate the alpha male trope. Please suggest me books with werewolves but without the alpha bs. When I say alpha bs I mean they can still fall in love and whatever but he can't be "grr grr you're my mate and should do as i say" "grr grr look how strong and bossy i am over everyone else". It can be any genre including romance but since it's October horror is welcome too (the rest i probably keep for later)
