I've not really done any reading for 15+ years (36M) and recently I've really had the urge to read more. Looking for recommendations based on my preferences.
The last book I read was Dune, which I loved, before that 1984, which I equally loved. I enjoy themes of dystopia, fantasy, sci-fi, war games and politics (can you tell why I enjoyed the above two?).
On my shelf I have Neuromancer (couldn't get hooked on it), Brave New World (partially read), Red Rising (unread) and American Pyscho (unread, but purchased as the film is one of my favourites), along with Dune Messiah/Children Of (both unread).
I struggle somewhat with getting hooked into books quickly (I have ADHD and get bored if there's not a quick hook; see Neuromancer) and I also look at a wall of books in the shops with decision paralysis with no idea where to start.
Any must reads that would fit my description to get me started?
