I have no idea if there are any novels like this… but I’m looking for something in the vein of popular anime’s like “Mobile Suit Gundam” or “Evangelion”, where the plot centers around mecha’s, war and a solid dose of political intrigue..

*Iron Widow* by Xiran Jay Zhao is the closest I’ve got
There’s a whole series of Robotech novels by Jack McKinney I enjoyed quite a bit when I was younger.
Gearbreakers by Zoe Hanna Makuta
Sylvain Neuvel’s *Sleeping Giants* might be in the right vein.
Hard Reboot by Django Wexler is a fast read. But I think both *Iron Widow* and *Gearbreakers* are more interesting.
