It was apparent early on that this was going to be a bad year. To help cope with this, I set myself a goal of reading 50 books. I'm about to finish #39. I'm looking for suggestions of what to lock in for #50. I need something amazing to look forward to. Top-notch writing and storytelling are a must. Can you help me?? Here are my top 5 from the year so far:
-
North Woods
-
The Princess Bride
-
Hamlet
-
A Short Stay in Hell
-
The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet

The Princess Bride is amazing 🤩
Loved North Woods, and have enjoyed the two David Mitchell books I’ve read (Cloud Atlas and Black Swan Green).
A few to consider for 50:
The Remains of the Day – Ishiguro
Demon Copperhead – Kingsolver
The Safekeep – Van Der Wouden
Sheesh, don’t READ Hamlet, there’s like a hundred movie versions of it.
