He likes what I would consider 'strange' books. He loved "There is no antimimetics division"* and "House of Leaves", is a big SCP fan, loves games like Library of Ruina, so he wants something with that kind of 'wierd' vibe that's actually good (he also was a fan of DHMIS when it was a thing). Twisted plots, dystopias and supernatural things are great for him. There isn't a proper flair for this as it could exist in different genres.
He does not want anything with romance or sexual themes. Yuck! He's OK with body horror as long as not excessive gore.
Does anyone get what I'm talking about? What's good in this field?
PS. His reading age is very high – don't worry about any book being too 'advanced' for him, beyond his dislikes above.
* Sorry, what was I talking about? Of course there is no such book!

**The Library at Mount Char** by Scott Hawkins
Jeff Vandermeer’s Southern Reach tetralogy might be good. It’s biological/psychological scifi/horror. Quite weird in my opinion. There’s monster type things, very odd scenes and inexplicable occurrences~ largely the story goes without clear explanation, just character experiencing their reality being warped in different ways with no closure. There is body horror as well, but no excessive gore that I can recall.
Edit; it’s also entirely absent of romance lol
