Hello good people! I am looking for non-genre books that feature sapphic characters – preferably at least one lesbian, specifically – that sit within the upmarket or book club space. I would also take anything purely commercial where queer women are the protagonists. No sci-fi or fantasy, please; I'm also not really open to Romance, my preference here is that any romantic storyline is secondary or at least equal to another plotline. I'm very happy with anything campy, melodramatic, or a bit soapy.
I'm thinking along the lines of something like CARRIE SOTO IS BACK, by TJR; or Jilly Cooper's novels, but queerer.
Hopefully someone out there can recommend what I've been struggling to find – TIA!
