Hi hi! My book club is losing one of it's members to San Fran and we're looking to read one last book together with that setting. Only requirements are 1) fiction 2) isn't a cautionary tale against moving to CA lmao. Bonus points if it is a good fall read!
Books we've read as a club previously…The Paris Apartment, Ninth House, I'm Glad My Mom Died, Lessons in Chemistry, Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, The Only One Left, Deadly Education, The Woman in Me, Weyward, Circe, The Rachel Incident, Bel Canto, Shark Heart, The Nightingale, God of the Woods, A Great Big Beautiful Life, A Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires.

Thomas Pynchon’s Crying of Lot 49 is so funny, so smart, and very brief. Time magazine described it as, “a metaphysical thriller in the form of a pornographic comic strip.”
Tales of the city
If they’re going to San Francisco, and are down for something that is historical fiction at this point, Tales of the City is so much fun.
