Mystery book recs

Hi! I’m looking for a mystery book that really reels you in! I really enjoy a murder mystery! My one reservation is that I am not a fan of series when it comes to mystery. I am looking for a one and done kind of book lol. If you have any recommendations please let me know!!! Much appreciated!
