I want to revel in a world, dive head first and watch it be built around me in such an engrossing way that I never want to leave!

Suggest books and tell me why they are so all encompassing?

    1. The Dark Tower. It starts small and accessible with a short, straightforward western novel. Expanding into 8 books of beautiful, weird world-building.

I don’t read a lot of series so I don’t have a lot of experience with world building. But I really loved the Dune series

My favorites are Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, and The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden.

    4. Fairy Tale by Stephen King checked this box for me in a major way. It may not be a top 3 King novel of all time but perhaps the most invested I’ve felt in any world he’s built
