Trying to find something scary. I've read a lot of King's books and while I've enjoyed most of them, none have been scary at all. Creepy maybe but that's not what I'm after. I can get scared watching movies but never from reading anything so it could just be my lack of imagination.
Are there any books by any author that are legit scary?

The only book that ever scared me was Lunar Park by Brett Easton Ellis
The Siege: 68 Hours in the Taj Hotel gave me nightmares for two weeks. It’s about the Mumbai terror attacks of 2008. Very well written. I was at a hotel across from Disneyland about two weeks after I finished it, and was lying in bed reading at nine pm. When the fireworks started, I leapt out of bed and was halfway across the room before I realized it was fireworks and not a grenade attack.
It’s a REALLY good book.
Honestly world war Z scared me, or at least it made me super on edge and sucked in
Incidents Around The House was pretty scary
Man you guys are braved. I read horror but I never desire to be this scared. I can’t even think of a book that actually scared me..Holly was just creepy. Frankstein and Dracula were scary to me when I was a teenager.
The only true scary book by king is Pet Sematary
